The Newton N. Minow Founders Society
Newton N. Minow received the PBS “Be More” Award. This annual tribute celebrates individuals who embody the spirit of helping Americans to discover more, to experience more, and to “Be More.” PBS President and CEO Paula Kerger presented the award at the PBS Annual Meeting in Chicago, May 2016. |
The Newton N. Minow Founders Society is a special group that honors individuals who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to our future through the establishment of a bequest, trust, or other planned giving arrangement. The Society is named in honor of Newton N. Minow, who dedicated more than 60 years of service to PBS and was the first donor to indicate that WTTW and WFMT was included in his estate plan. Newt’s commitment to the “public interest” always came first, and we celebrate his legacy by encouraging others to make similar commitments to our future.
